Borno Violence: Attacks By Sect Members Leave 47 People Dead

At least 47 people have died after the Boko Haram sect attacked a school and the palace of a traditional ruler in Bama town, Borno State, Nigeria’s North-East region.

The Borno State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Lawal Tanko says that the assailants had also partly burned down the palace of the traditional ruler of Borno, whose kingdom was one of West Africa’s oldest medieval Islamic caliphates.
