The 78 schoolchildren kidnapped in Bamenda, in the north-western region of Cameroon on Sunday, were released after five days of captivity on Wednesday, while the school principal and a teacher are still being held.

The boarding school pupils were seized in the city of Bamenda, with the government accusing separatists in the English-speaking region of being responsible for the kidnapping.
