COSAFA chief leads campaign to unseat CAF President Issa Hayatou

The Council of Southern African Football Associations, COSAFA has endorsed one of their own Ahmad Ahmad of Madagascar as their preferred candidate for the upcoming CAF elections. Ahmad will challenge incumbent Issa Hayatou, who is seeking an eighth term during next month’s elections. COSAFA says the region feels left out of African football under the current CAF leadership. CGTN’s Farai Mwakutuya spoke to the region’s chairman Phillip Chi-yangwa, the man leading the campaign to oust Hayatou.
