  1. Use a night vision camera next time. Owls have very special eyes that are adapted to picking up even the littlest amount of light. They are too sensitive for these bright flashlights.

  2. Very magnificent Bird. We have many different Owl Species where I live as my property is right on a giant lake cove in the very rural wooded hills that are close to many different large water bodies, lots of granite bluffs and is surrounded by state forests, where the Barn and Great Horned Owls are most often seen and heard. I had 3 Great Horned Owls outside my window in the middle of the night 2 months ago, and all 3 were using territorial calls, was such a natural symphony of beauty. Seeing or hearing an Owl is a very rewarding experience even if you see and hear them often. Blessings friends.
