For two years now, Cameroon has been in a serious political crisis. The Crisis started in November 2016, when English Speaking Lawyers and Teachers went to the streets demanding better conditions in the two English Speaking Regions of the country.
Government’s slow response and the use of excessive force further radicalised thousands who now believe in the complete restoration of the independence of the the Southern Cameroons.
The crisis that started as a mere peaceful protest is now a full blown war/revolution, threatening the division of the country into two. Hundreds of people have lost their lives, both of them civilians and the military. Thousands have fled to neighbouring Nigeria and hundreds of thousands are internally displaced.
