Traditional dances in Chad Republic

That’s just a part of a set of traditional Chadian dances representing human life: here dancers play teenagers dating and forming couples. Next circle is, of course, marriage.
As far as I know, the part when a boy is dancing with a girl (0:58) is called “a pigeons dance”. Try it out and see how demanding are these simple at first sight moves!

  1. Hi can you tell me what tribe is dancing here, or the name if the kind of music? I have recently seen archive footage from 'The First World Festival Of Negro Arts' in 1966 and a group of Chadian women were doing this dance. I would love to know what it is called.
