According to psychologists, there are four types of intelligence:
1) the intelligence quotient (IQ)
2) the emotional quotient (EQ)
3) the social quotient (QS)
4) the adversity quotient (AQ).
1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): This is the measure of your ability to understand, solve mathematical problems, memorize and recall subjects.
2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): This is the measure of your ability to keep peace with others, to keep time, to be responsible, to be honest, to respect limits, to be humble, genuine and considerate. .
3. Social quotient (SQ):
This is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.
People with high EQ and SQ tend to move further in life than those with high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools emphasize improving IQ while EQ and SQ are minimized.
A man with a high IQ may end up being employed by a man with a high EQ and SQ, even if he has an average IQ.
Your EQ represents your character; your SQ represents your charisma. Adopt habits that improve these three Q's, but especially your EQ and your SQ.
EQ and SQ allow you to better manage situations than IQ.
Do not teach children to have only high IQ, but also to have higher EQ and SQ.
Now there is a fourth:
A new paradigm ...
4. The adversity quotient (AQ):
The measure of your ability to get through and come out of a tough time in life without losing your mind.
AQ determines who will give up in the face of adversity and maybe even abandon their family.
*To parents* :
Expose children to areas of life other than studying. They must enjoy manual labor (never use labor as a form of punishment), sports and art.
Develop their EQ, SQ and AQ. They must become multifaceted humans, able to do things independently of their parents.
* Finally, do not prepare the road for the children. Prepare the kids for the road. *
I just thought of sharing as a complement to what we have already received from our parents and experienced in life ....
