Learn How to Breed Earthworms as Feed for Chicken, Fish & As Organic Fertilizer

Southern Cameroonian Poultry and Fish farmers complain about the excessive and increasing cost of imported feed. Not only are farmers burdened by the expensive nature of imported feed, they are equally burned by other challenges like diseases that require lots of money, which they don't have. Is there an alternative to enable them to reduce their cost of feed? Yes, Earthworms! What? Yes Earthworms!

This week on Amba Farmers Voice, we shall be talking about how poultry and fish farmers can grow earthworms to use as feed for their animals. Worms are 100% protein and can be grown anywhere at any time through a very simple process. The ingredients and inputs to grow worms are found in every village in Southern Cameroons.

With the war that the LRC has declared on us, many people are not working. People don't have money to spend to buy expensive imported animal feed, that is all laced with chemicals. Amba Farmers Voice is out to ensure that poultry and fish farmers get the knowledge they need to grow their own worms to use as an alternative to imported feed. This technique will be very useful to our people in Ghana & G1 who are raising chicken and fish to survive as refugees.

Two mothers killed in a Pinyin military raid
Two mothers were shot in Pinyin, Mezam Division in the North West region today.

Residents of the said village currently on the run say they were shot by soldiers who invaded their homes in the early hours of the day. The army, they say, blames villagers for being related to separatist fighters, reason for the attack.

The situation in Pinyin, they say, is worsened by the rains that have left them in the bushes with no shelter.

The military invasion of Pinyin comes after some soldiers were killed by separatist fighters last week.

It also follows the killing and beheading of a military man in Babadjou, West region today.

“Many people have been arrested and two women confirmed to be mothers of ‘amba boys’ have been shot and killed. They were pulled from their houses and killed,” another source confirms.

The death toll remains unknown as the attack ensues.
